Iran’s E-Commerce Potential to Be Investigated

TEHRAN Dec. 26 (Mehr News Agency) — A survey is to be initiated in Iran to investigate the potential of the country for Electronic-commerce.

The survey is sponsored by the deputy department of Management and Planning Organization (MPO) and the Business Ministry investigates it form economic aspects. In addition, a consortium from Iran, France and Malaysia will collaborate in implementation of this survey.

 

According to the Mehr News Agency, the executive manager of this survey said that the objectives of this survey which is called “Meta”, is to study and investigate the infrastructures, threats, opportunities and weak and strong points of the plan as well as establishing and developing e-commerce in the country.

 

Khajavi said that the outstanding characteristic of this survey is the direct involvement of the most experienced international experts in the field of e-commerce, which yields the country a fundamental base for practice of e-commerce in future.
